Can not log back in after screensaver

I am using XP Home and lately after boot up, I have no problem logging into
my user account but, when my screensaver comes up and I attempt to log back
in I get no response. I have to shut down the computer to log back in after
boot up. Can someone help with this problem?
 
Anyone know the answer to this? This just started to happen to me this month
(I use XP Pro), I thought it was my keyboard, but when I changed to another
it still happens.
