Can not create a dial-up connecttion

B

Bill Mevers

When I try to create subject using the "Create new
connection Wiz", after clicking on "Setup up manual", the
next screen "grays out" the dial up selection and only
offers "connect by broad band".

I have removed and reinstalled my modom and it checks out
OK.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,

Dial-Up Modem or PPPoE is Unavailable (Line 87)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Standard Checkpoints:

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Set these three to "Automatic":

Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager,
Telephony.
