Can not connect after upgrade

I was using FP2000. I upgraded my office to office xp that did not come with
FP. After the upgrade when I try to connect to a server. It connects but
just for a sec. then it gives me the "Microsoft FrontPage application file
has encountered a problem and needs to close". Am running windows xp pro. I
tried to uninstall office xp, same thing. I tried to reinstall office 2000,
same thing. HELP!!!!!

When you attempted to re-install Office 2000, did you first un-install
Office XP?
