Can not backup entire HD

Every attempt at backup of my 30G HD on my Dell laptop
with Win2000, a Penium III and 785meg RAM using the
Win2000 backup tool under the HD properties, stops at
4.251Gig (versus 6.549Gig estimated) and displays the
message, "The fixed media is full. you can not backup all
of the specified data to this disk device. The backup
operation will stop." The backup device is a USB HD with a
120G capacitiy. The USB HD shows over 100G unused capacity
when this message stating the media is full appears. How
do I enable the back of all the data recorded on the
installed HD?

Use xcopy.exe, with the appropriate switches, instead of
ntbackup.exe. This will easily overcome your problem.

Convert your destination partition to NTFS , it's limited
by the 4 gig file size of FAT32
