can no longer publish to my website

Charlene

I have published a website. I use frontpage 2000. I also
was using AOL 8.0 as my internet connection. Since I
first previously published the website, I have downloaded
the security patch for Microsoft XP, installed AOL 9.0
and McAfee Virus protection. Now, I cannot make any
changes to my website. I am continously being prompted
to enter my username and password. This has never
happened before. I've tried typing every password I can
think of, I've tried changing the administrator password
and using this password. I've used the password for my
hosting company. Nothing works. I don't know who to
contact, but I feel it may have something to do with the
security patch. (I disabled McAfee and tried it-still
didn't work). Somebody please help!
Thanks,
Charlene

Charlene:
If you're referring to the security patch that came today (MS03-039), I've applied it and can still open webs. I don't have McAfee, so I can't help there. I would suspect the upgrade to AOL 9.0. Here's a KB article that describes what's happening: FP2000: FrontPage Repeatedly Prompts for User Name and Password When You Open a Web http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;250376 It's also possible that you've tried so many times that you've been locked out by your hosting company. Have you tried contacting them?

Contact AOL - it may be something on their end.
