My email provider suggestds setting up outlook as email by using outlook
2000. As I am running Offoce 97 with Outlook 97, is there any way to upgrade
Outlook 97 without upgrading Office97?

That is a curious suggestion. Usually they would like for you to use Outlook
Express.

Since Outlook is sold as a separate program, you can buy and install any
version of Outlook. Outlook 2000 may be a bit difficult to find.

However, if you would like to use MS Word as your e-mail editor, you would
also need Word of the same release lever. Adding the cost of the two would
begin to approach the cost of the Student and Teachers version of MS Office.
