Can I un-install an XP Pro upgrade?

I was running XP Home (SP2). Upgraded to XP Pro with a
slipstreamed Pro Upgrade CD. I'm running into a number
of driver issues & other glitches, and want to go back to
my previous version of XP -- but don't know how.

I've discovered that System Restore only goes back to the
point after the upgrade. I thought I'd be able to use
that to restore my previous system state. :(

My original XP was OEM, & Fujitsu didn't provide a
separate XP CD; just a way to restore the complete system
as it came from the factory. (Grr)

So, how can I "undo" the upgrade, and get back to where I
was a couple hours ago?

I appreciate any insight and direction.

Hi

Is there an entry in Add/Remove Programs to enable you to go back to the
previous version?

The only way to change from WinXP Pro to WinXP Home is to
format the drive and start over. There is no supported downgrade path
or technique.

Simply boot from the WinXP Home installation CD. You'll be
offered the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as
part of the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the
order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

I'd rather buy (or ask my dad for :) a qualifying OS - win95 or 98 would
do - and install XPP.
The main advantage is that you get rid of OEM, you can do your own
partitions, repairs etc etc.

Well, no -- and actually, the dozens of "Windows XP
Hotfix" entries are gone. I guess that's because of the
slipstreamed upgrade?

Also, in My Computer properties where it used to say
provided by Fujitsu, it now says "Provided by N-Lite" --
the program I used for the slipstream. Is that OK?
