Can I recover only C drive?

OEM XPHome on Sony VAIO w/C-D partition. I last reconfigured (formatted) and
chose to use the recovery wizard option to move the partition so as to allow
for a larger D drive and smaller C drive. Now Sony won't/can't tell me if any
re-use of the recovery wizard will encur any issues if only recovering the C
drive.

I suppose I can just try it. Nothing to lose, but just wondering if the
wizard's so stupid it might screw up the modified partition, that or even
inappropriately install a second partition ('thinking' the C drive is only
supposed to be the stock OEM size). And lastly, for all I know (and that's
not alot), the wizard could even end up disabling my access to any of the
added storage space on C.

Oops. Disregard the"lastly" bit. I meant to say something like maybe the
wizard could inadvertantly overlap the optional D drive's partition and
install another partition (where it might think the stock OEM partition
should be) and then I might possibly lose the added D drive's storage space.

Steve,

If anything Wizards are stupid, have limited capability and usually hide
what they are doing from the user. I don't have a Sony but one thing is for
sure: Always make a backup of you important data.
