Can I make Outlook show actual duration of activity in Day View?

In Day View in Outlook, my appointments always show up as 30 minutes in
duration, even if I have modified the meeting to take 2 or 3 or five hours,
for example. Is there some way to set Outlook to display the actual duration
of the meeting? Thanks, anyone.

How would it know??? It is not attending the meeting, you are so the only
way it would know is if you tell it.

I don't think I made my question clear. Even when I double click on the
activity and specify a start and end time that exceeds one-half hour, it
still displays as only lasting 1/2 hour. So I do "tell it," but it still
doesn't display the duration I have specified in the Day View.

Outlook shows a 30 minute time scale by default. You can change this by
right clicking on the calendar grid and choosing "Customize Current View".
Then click on the "Other Settings" button and you will see an option to
change the time scale. Hope this helps.

Thanks for trying to help me. I understand that I can change the time
increments by using the procedure you describe. I've done that and changed
the time scale to 60 minute increments. However, when I double-click on a
appointment in the day view, a new screen opens up. When I specify the
duration of the appoint(say 2:00pm to 4:30pm) and save the changes, it still
shows up as lasting 1 hour on the graphic day view. That is the problem.
Thanks.
