Office 2007 sp1 ... problems with calendar functions

Hi... not sure if anyone has come across these issues... running latest
Office 2007 SP1 on Vista Ultimate...
Are these problems being fixed?

1. If I import/access PST file from Outlook 2003 (latest) it appears to
look fine and no problems... until I look at some appointments that had 0
minute duration (ie reminders) at 12:00am. They get shifted to 11:59p the
previous day, ending 12:00a on the scheduled day (of entry). This causes
new two day graphic to show for reminder... which confuses user as to when
event occurs, requiring looking at details to determine actual date. I can
manually correct... but why does Outlook 2007 process these entries this
way... even though 0 min duration at start/end at 12am? BUG DEFECT!

2. If I EDIT-COPY and EDIT PASTE a calendar entry in Outlook 2007, it does
NOT copy the entire record. Things like RECURRING schedule info and
REMINDER and SHOW STATUS AS and NOTES are not copied. This should be a
true copy of the event, modified for the date/time it is copied to... as it
was in Office 2003. BUG DEFECT!

#2 - known issue.
#1 - are you sure it's coming in at 11:59 and not 11:00 pm? I've never seen
it off by a min, but off by an hour is common if the pst was created in a
different time zone.

Hi Diane... thanks for your reply.
#1... yes, the PST file imported from Outlook 2003 (latest level, SP3) on
XPP SP2 (latest updates) to Vista Ultimate x64 with Outlook 2007 (latest
updates) ...both with same location and regional settings (EST-0500) with
same date/time formats... imports PST file with appointment/reminder 12:00a
to 12:00a for specific date MM/DD/YYYY and on Outlook 2007 calendar "resets"
or adjusts entry start date to 11:59p MM/DD-1/YYYY and end date of 12:00a
MM/DD/YYYY.

I can try to reproduce as I still have original PST file and confirm pre-
and post-entries/samples if you like... in my earlier import, this problem
occurred on several (10-15 appointments scheduled for 12a-12a)...

Is there any information I can pass on? Perhaps I could export the specific
examples and provide PST from Outlook 2003 that imports with problems into
2007 ... ?

Never inmport from a PST. Instead, open the original PST and see if that
changes the behavior.

Hi Diane,

#2 - Has there been any progress made or is there a patch/update for this
issue in Outlook 2003? I have recently switched machines and created a new
profile. When I try to copy and paste the entries from a calendar in my .pst
calendar to my main calendar (both Outlook 2003) the same thing is happening.
Thanks,
Lori
