Can I make a local XP account a domain account ?

I have a user that is using a local XP account, rather than her domain
one and can't connect to a network printer.

Is there an easy way to copy her local profile into her domain one, and
keeping her desktop, my docs, favs, outlook settings etc ?

She's using XP pro SP2.

- Log on to the domain as this user.
- Make a note of her profile folder name.
- Reboot the PC.
- Log on as an administrator.
- Control Panel / System / Advanced / Profiles.
- Copy her local profile to her domain profile folder.

The user will now have her local profile properties cloned
to her domain profile.

I tried this on my home PC (I had the same issue), and it took soo long
I gave up - I had 3GB in my docs which wouldn't have helped.

I'll try this tomorrow - after doing it on my home PC.

Identify the large folders, then move them manuall out of the
way before copying the profile. Later on you move them back
to where you want them. Remember that "moving" takes no
time at all whereas "copying" takes a lot of time!
