Can I link a text box to a cell?

I pasted a powepoint slide into Excel as an object. There is a text box in
that PowerPoint slide that I want to link to a cell in Excel. Is it possible
to do this?

Maybe this:

Assume you want to link the text box to cell A1.

Click inside the text box then enter this formula *in the formula bar*: =A1
