can I install Analysis toolPak into my Excel 97?

Dear friends,

The version of my Excel is 97, and I want to do some complex
statistical calculation, so I have to use Analysis toolPak. Now the
question is:

1. How do I know if I installed Analysis tooPak already in my Excel97?
2. In tutorial, on the menu of "tools", there should be one option
called "data analysis". But in my excel, there is no this option at
all. Why? Maybe I do not have the correct version.

Tony,

Look under Tools -> Add-ins
You should see an Analysis ToolPak, if it's checked off then it's
installed if not just check it off and click OK, you might need to
have your office/excel 97 discs handy depending on your install.

Your term "Complex statistical calculations". The analysis tool pack only handles some simple statistical calculations. The ANOVA and regression routines are quite limited. Don't expect much when you look at the menus. Be aware that there are errors if you have missing data. I've done some heavy investigations into the analysis tool pack routines.
