Analysis ToolPak

Hi,

I am having the EXACT same problem as Mantithesis. I have also now installed Excel 2003 to try and get the Analysis ToolPak working but it doesn't even work in that! So now i have Excel 2007 and 2003 without Data Analysis - brilliant...

Any ideas what might be causing the problem? So fed up with Vista, might resort to reinstalling the whole damn thing!

Hi,

What problem was Mantithesis having?

One attaches the analysis toolpak in 2003 by choosing Tools, Add-ins, and
checking Analysis ToolPak (no need for the VBA one unless your programming).

On occation the ATP does not "stick" on the first try. Generally, closing
Excel and reopening it works.

In 2007 you don't need to attach the ATP to use the functions that were in
the old ATP, but you do need to attach it to use the Data Analysis commands.
In 2007 you attach it by choosing Office Button, Excel Options, Add-Ins, and
clicking Go and then you are in the 2003 dialog for attaching add-ins.

The Data Analysis command appears on the Data tab in 2007, not the Add-ins
tab.

Thank you, Shane. I could for the tip where to find the Data Analysis command
because I was looking under the Add-ins!
