Can I filter a mail merge list by category?

I have a couple of different categories that I need to do mailings to. I know
that I could filter a mail merge list from Outlook by category in 2003, but I
can't seem to find that option at all in 2007. Has anyone figured this out?

It hasn't changed at all. Why do you think it has?
Use the By Category view of your Contacts and merge to those Contacts.
