Can I export the data from Outlook Contact GROUPS to excel/.csv?

Hi,

First time post - have looked through existing posts but no obvious solutions.

Is it possible to export individual groups of contacts from Outlook 2003 as
either Excel or .CSV files? All I want to export is the firstname and email
fields, although I'm happy to export the lot and clean it up in Excel
afterwards.

We're trying to do personalised bulk emails to a couple of hundred contacts
(I work for a membership based charity so these emails are going to our
members and are NOT spam!). The data we want to use is set up as a Group in
Outlook Contacts, so we want to export this one group rather than the whole
contact dataset.

We started by using the merge to email feature in Word 2003, but that
doesn't seem to allow us to select a Microsoft Outlook group of contacts as
the source data. So, if I can export the data from Outlook, I can then
specify the source manually, hence my question

Thanks for considering my question.

Regards,

Christian

Sure. There may be multiple ways, but off the top of my head, one way would
be to create another Contacts folder, copy to it those Contacts you want to
export, and then export that folder. In the export, you should be able to
choose the fields you want.

Thanks for the prompt and helpful reply. I'll try your solution in work
tomorrow. I'm not an Outlook user myself so didn't realise you could have
multiple Contacts folders.
