Can I export a linked file to a specific excel worksheet?

I use access to export linked files from Lotus Notes. I need to be able to
export files to excel that are linked back to access, so that I can perform
calculations in excel and that drive reports in access. Is there any way to
not only export a linked file from access to excel, but to also have several
tables appear as different worksheets in the same excel workbook? I know I
can handle all of this manually but the Lotus database is updated frequently.
I do not have time to check the Lotus database for changes then re-export
the tables from access to excel and then perform the calculations and then
export the worksheets back to access to run reports. Any suggestions on how
to solve my problem?

You can't export to an excel file while it is linked. You would first have
to drop the link, do the export, the reestablish the link.
You can export multiple worksheets to the same workbook. You just have to
use the Range argument and give the worksheet a name. I know help says the
Range argument will fail if you use it for an export, but that is not true.
You can also link to a specific worksheet, again using the Range argument.

I am curious as to why you would go to all the trouble to export to excel to
do the calculations there to drive reports. Why not do the calculations in
Access? The whole process would run a lot faster.

The main reason that I export to excel for calculations is becausae of data
mismatch type errors. I have to link the access files to the lotus database
so that they are updated in step. This is a problem becasue a lot of the
data is related but for some reason, some comes out as text and some as
numbers. So that I can't build realtionships to essentialy the same
information in different tables. So all of my queries and reports fail,
unless I move everything to excel and then bring it back.
