Can I edit my nickname list?

Tera

I am trying to find out how to edit my nickname list in
Outlook. I've found the path/data file that contains the
list by doing an *.nk2 search but I cannot get the file to
open in a format I can read. Does anyone know how to edit
this list?

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks -
Tera

Wrong. That has nothing to do with the autocompletion cache. Remove
individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting the entry
when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to migrate to
the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of the field.
To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:

You can't edit or view it directly, but you do have some control over
its contents. If you want to delete individual entries, start typing a
name into a new mail message, and when the list comes up, point to the
entry you want to delete (so that it's highlighted) and press Delete.
To delete the whole cache and start over, just delete or rename the .NK2
file. Outlook will start a new cache file the next time an e-mail
address is typed into the To: box.
