I went to defrag and was "told" the system needed 15% free space. Having
just removed some large programs (AOL for 1), I felt I should have had plenty
of space, but the defrag report showed the following info (below) including
the huge 5.51GB WCU file. I have no idea what this "hidden" file is. Any
thoughts before I delete it?

Volume (C:)
Volume size = 18.64 GB
Cluster size = 4 KB
Used space = 16.48 GB
Free space = 2.16 GB
Percent free space = 11 %
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fragments File Size Files that cannot be defragmented (location)
63,340 5.51 GB \Documents and Settings\Richard\Application
Data\BusinessLogic\UWC\Backup\J38656.6347296991.WCU

Thanks

Before you delete it find out what its for. I just did a quick search and
the only thing i found with a wcu ext is a cue card program, which I dont
think would have a 5 GB file.Open control panel | folder options | file
types and scroll down till you find wcu and see what application is using
that extension. You should then be able to figure out if you need to keep
the file or not. Repost if you need any more info.

Thank you, Glen!! With your suggestion, I was able to determine that this
was a backup file created by WinCleaner. I have no idea why this one file
was so large, but the file was created the first time I used the program so
it was probably Operator (as in me) Error. Anywho... since the file was
created a while ago and my system has been running well, I did delete this
particular file without trouble.

Thanks again for your help!! Cheers, Richard
