Can I create an automated repeating loop slideshow which has introductory 'one-time' spur?

Hi -
1a) Can anyone show me how to create a looping (repeating) slideshow, that
has the last slide linking on to a certain slide within the loop to rebegin
from there? - (I am using PPT2000, on Win98). I've searched for this on the
net and in forums etc - no luck so far.

1b) If it's not clear what I want, imagine the shape of number '6' - there
is a 'spur' or lead-in, which would be the intro of 1,2 or 3 slides, then
the 'loop' that would be for example slides 4 - 12, with slide 12 looping
back to slide 4 to repeat the cycle, and not back to slide 1. This loop
would also carry music support that would not be on the intro 'spur' (I can
do that part ok! - it is the loop-back link I cannot work out.)

2) If you can also tell me also how to make the loop repeat x number of
times, then stop - great! -

3) Finally, can one set a sequence so that on loop interrupt (eg 'esc', or
another controllable input), a fresh exit slide sequence starts (in this
example, say slides 13-15) rather than exiting and stopping the slideshow at
that point? So then I would have an intro 'spur', a repeating looped
middle, and an exit 'spur' before ending.

Very many thanks! miken

Thanks TAJ for the link - I haven't yet had a go at it, but I think the link
ideas should work for what I want - I just wanted to thank you (a bit late)
for the reply.
