My son managed to pull our desktop case of the desk and it hit the ground
with a thud. The gfx card was damaged and after being replaced it appeared
OK, but I cannot get the USB devices to work once windows has loaded, to add
to the frustration I get prompted for my log in pass word but cannot access
it because I have no mouse or keyboards functions. The pc has no PS2
connectors, I've tried a serial mouse/keyboard and a paralell one but to no
avail. It appears that the usb drives are corrupted, I can access the drive
as a slave unit ivia the family pc and would appreciate any info on replacing
the usb drivers via this route. I also tried the system recovery procedure
but it wont accept the administrator password which was set as "patrick".The
motherboard is functioning OK as I installed XP on a smaller hard drive I had
lying about and the USB functioned OK. I really don't want to have to format
the drive and reinstall, any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

PS: USB functions ok before the XP splash screen.
