Can favorite folders still be set in Open/Save screens in 2007?

Earlier versions of Word allowed you to build a list of Favorite folders when
Opening/Saving a document. Don't see that in 2007. The Recent Documents does
have folders, but the list is so long, it's cumbersome to use.

Is there an alternative?

In the File/Open dialog box, you can drag folders or subfolders to the
Favorite links box on the top left.

Navigate to a folder you want to add to the favorites, then right-click a
blank area in the Favorites column and choose "Add <current folder>" from
the menu.
