Can audio level be changed through out the movie

I have a video with audio in it and audio I have imported, in the begging of
my movie I don't want to hear the videos audio, just the audio I imported,
but through out the movie I do want to play the videos audio, is there anyway
to mark the movie throughout with the audio level indicator, it seems if I
adjust it, it is either one way or the other for the duration of the movie.
First three minutes is a song and the last minute is a video with audio to be
heard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Debra,
Bbreak your movie into 2 sets of clips - one where the volume is muted and
the other set where the volume is louder. You can edit volume by clips. Some
video editing such as Pinnacle give you the ability to change the volume as
often as you like within the same clip though MM has sufficed for me.
