Audio Help Please

I imported this .avi file to Movie Maker. It was about 10 minutes long and I
know it works because this was a second recording, and the first one worked
perfectly.

Anyway, I imported it and all the movie appears on the large white area. I
listen to part of it and check and the audio and such is all there, no issue.

However, when I take all of the video, and drag it down to the timeline, the
audio doesn't go with it. It's not on mute and there's no other audio, but
when I drag the video down, there's no audio.

..avi files can cause issues in Movie Maker.
Converting it to .wmv might be worth a try.
