Can anyone help Please?

Hope someone can assist.
There is a major UK company that has a web presence at www.argos.co.uk. For
the past week I have been unable to view this site and believe it may be one
of my security measures. Does anyone else have this problem?
Checked IE settings, all in Default mode. Hosts file shows nothing except
127.0.0.1. Am using Spybot S&D with latest updates, Spyware blaster with the
default
blocks on.
Everything was working when I last accessed this site some months ago. No
additional software installed since except XPHome updates and upgrading AVG
to ver 7.Have used this site since installing SP2.
All my other sites OK.
I get the standard IE6 message:-
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings.

Hi,

The question is not whether you have 127.0.0.1 in your HOSTS file, the
question is if you have something like

127.0.0.1 www.argos.co.uk

Additionally, it might be a good idea to check whether your firewall isn't
in the way.

Kind regards

The only thing in the Hosts file is 127.0.0.1, nothing else.
ZA Pro is configured correctly as far as I can see as I can visit every
other site I wish to.
I cannot even ping this particular site.

Found the problem. A program my son had installed called PeerGuardian Lite.
( He uses P2P for music and this proggy is supposed to block any contact
from IP addresses used by the Music Industry ).
I will speak very sternly to him when he gets home. Before he takes Dad to
the Pub.
Thanks everyone.
