Did I mess up or what

After loading zone alarm anti spyware I no longer can download pages in ie6
I get the below message in window. Using Widows XP

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web
site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust
your browser settings.

Have looked at security settings and all appear proper. The sites are being
connected to but not displayed. Norton Antivirus 2005 showed a corupted
file
and I have removed norton from system. Still no web pages appear. Three
of us have been working on
this for two days without any progress. Any suggestions./ A million thanks
to anyone that can help.

Hi Martin :)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, which really is a
must when asking for help in the newsgroups, but, try the following as it
may apply
to your OS and see if it helps:

It is known to cause some problems with IE;

First…right click on the ZA Icon on the system tray, down by your clock, and
be sure that the "Stop all Internet activity" is not checked.

Click on Program Control then the Programs tab. Make sure Internet Explorer
is listed and there are two green ticks in the Access column for internet
and trusted. If it is not there, click on the add button at the bottom and
navigate to Internet Explorer (probably at C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\iexplorer.exe).

Depending on how you connect to the internet, you may need to add the IP
address of the device that provides the internet connection in Firewall,
Zones.
