can a message pop up when closing/logging off?

Can a message such as "turn off the printer" be
programmed to pop up somehow when logging off or powering
down? Window XP.
 
TODD, don't you sit there and watch your unit power down?
So, what is so hard to reach over and shut down all
auxilliary devices?
No offense intended, but, if you want to create a prog
that does this, it may actuall help a lot of tired people.

Actually the printer in sort of our of line of sight so
it's easily forgotten.
