Camera and XP

I have a nikon camera . As soon as you plug it in XP would open up the
box so I could download the pictures .
Now nothing happens . I had this once before and somebody told me to
put
a line which included the word ' binoculars ' in the run box and it
cured the problem straight away .

I have tried the original 'Nikon view 4 program and that doesn'twork
either . Does anybody know what this line is that I have to put in the
run box ??
P.S. I am NOT technically minded so going into bios etc is a no go
area . I would have to call out a professional !!

I dont know if this will help you but i use the xp scanner and
camera wizard
with my sony camera, go to accessories than general than scanner and
camera wizard.if you have already installed the nikon disc it should
work .

If you have installed SP2, a register entry was missed. If you have a
Nikon camera then go to www.ivory.org/nef.zip for a fix. The "nef.zip"
is the fix. I got this from "CallforHelpTV.com". I believe that I got it
right but no guarantee.
