Hi,
When I hook my USB Olympus camera to the my computer the
Camera and Scanner Wizard usually pops up asking me what
I want to do. But when I plug my camera in this morning
the Camera and Scanner Wizard will not show up. How can I
get it back?
I do get the saftly disconnect to show up.
Thank you.

Go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/Scanner and Camera Wizard.

Connect the Camera and then open Windows Explorer. Look for the Camera in
the left side window. Right click the camera and select the Autoplay Tab.
Set your preferred default actions there.

Hi Ronnie
I connected my camera to the computer then went to
Start/All Programs/Accessories/Scanner and Camera Wizard.
The wizard could not find my camera.

Then I tried going to to windows explorer> right clicked
on my camera> clicked Autoplay. I got the Scanner and
camera wizard and it worked fine.

Is there a way to get the camera scanner to automaticly
show up and work again when I connect my camera?

Thank you.

HI Ronnie,
I happen to run across a site saying the they had the
same problem after upgrading to RealPlayer 10. Which I
had done a few days ago. I uninstalled RealPlayer 10 and
the Camera and Scanner Wizard is now acting like its old
self.
Thank you for your help.

To those of you who have lost the use of the Camera Wizard I have confirmed
that there is a conflict between Real Player 10 and the Wizard preventing the
Wizard from running. However, I have found the cause and have a solution.

There is an incompatability between the Wizard and the file REALSCHED.EXE,
which runs on startup. Disable it with the Task Manager and the functionality
of the Wizard is restored. You can permanently disable REALSCHED from running
on startup using MSCONFIG. However, it will become active again any time Real
Player is started. But it is definitely NOT necessary to uninstall Real
Player to mitigate the conflict and get the Wizard working again.

I have confirmed that this file is the cause of the problem, but have no
idea just what purpose it serves other than taking up memory. It schedules
something or other. Perhaps it is the source of those %$#@@#$$# Real Player
pop-up messages!
