Hi there:
I have been having some problems recently, I used to use
Office 97program then I installed windows ME, then I
upgraded it with Windows XP professional & ever since I've
been having frequent viruses even though I have NAV & NAV
Firewall installed. NAV tells me that there needs to be an
uninstalling of XP prof then install it again before NAV
can function properly. PLEASE! I need your HELP! I'm a
NOVICE at this. THANK YOU KINDLY.

Are you sure about this? Usually, you uninstall Norton; repair the
operating system, if necessary, and then reinstall the antivirus program.
Unless you have Windows XP and Office XP mixed up and it's Office that
should be reinstalled?

Are you actually picking up viruses at a fast rate or are you getting
warnings about files (email attachments, for example) that contain a virus?

If you're getting frequent virus infections, figure out why (!) and change
your computing habits. Tip: Don't open any files that come attached to
emails until you confirm with the sender that they mailed it to you.

If you're getting warnings about files that contain a virus but haven't
been unleashed on your system yet, that could be due to the recent rashes
of virus-laden email that everyone is getting.
