Calendar for Windows 95/NT is a program for all those people
who don't want all the bells and whistles when they look up a date,
just an easy to use (and small) utility.

Nice program. I have written a similar program which is
a little bit better because it allows you to copy the
highlighted date to the clipboard. I call it CAL.
Also, I'm not sure I like the red background.

IMO the one to beat is PPF which weighs in at 17 KB - still available
for download thanks to SOS.

Program: Past, Present & Future (v 1.1)
Author: Overware Systems (Bob Dolan)
Install: n.i.
W: LFW
Ware: (Freeware) v 1.1

Past, Present & Future 17 KB
A convenient 3 month calendar view. This program is a 32 bit utility
that provides you with a 3 month view around the current date and is
simple to use.

KISS :)

My favourite is Horst Schaeffer's Calendar

http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/wrem.htm#calendar

An 18KB download that is very similar to Past, Present & Future with a more
modern interface. It includes the ability to copy to clipboard the
selected date in various formats. A great feature for people who can't
type (me).

Horst has some other great tools worth looking at while at his site.

I've been using rainlender (www.rainlender.net) and am very happy with
it. It's skinnable for those of us who like desktop candy, has to-do's
and events with reminders. A companion is rainmeter for resources,
time, etc.

The date copy feature is nice - very nice :) - no install, no entries
in the registry. . . :)

I still prefer PPF - it has the ability to scroll forward and back
either by month or by year (Horst's program can only scroll by month).
Horst has some other great tools worth looking at while at his site.

Yes indeed! I snagged Date Reminder - 33 KB large - no install, no
registry entries.

http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/win/reminder.zip

<q>
This is a Date Reminder for recurring or nonrecurring events, like
birthdays, bills to pay, appointments etc...
The date reminder can be run from the Startup folder with an option to
quit immediately, if there is nothing to remind you of.

Features:

The reminders are listed in chronological order, beginning today, each
with day of week and number of days ahead. For recurring events only the
next one is listed.

Events may recur every year, month, week, day, or every 10 days, every 2
weeks, every 3 month etc.

Reminders can be marked "done", i.e. "dealt with".
Past events will remain in the list until they are marked "done". In an
extra history list you can review the last seven days.

An advance notice marker can be set a number of days before an event.

Calendar box available for selected reminder (right mouse button) and
for date input.

Date format according to the user's regional settings. A different
format can be specified in the INI file.
The user interface is controlled by language files. English (default)
and some other languages are included. Custom language files can be created.

Version 2.28: HLP-File instead of HTM
</q>

and Mempad (a tiny Treepad)

<q>
MemPad 2.42 Notes Download (41Kb)
http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/win/mempad.zip

MemPad keeps little notes with a handy index.

The program offers standard editing functions including cut, copy,

Features:

Secondary index level,
Change index order,
Web links and local file links,
Search function,
Word wrap mode,
Read-only handling,
Encryption.
Options:
Always on top,
Custom font,
Background color,
ESC shortcut to quit.

Context menus for editing and index handling (the control buttons can be
hidden); Keyboard shortcuts.

Automatic backup with the option to restore the last backup (can be
disabled by option).

MemPad can handle different file environments (by extension or
directory) with their own INI files. No Registry entries. File/Open menu
within a file environment. Optional "New Window".

The Help is provided as MemPad file (see image).
</q>

can't stop now. . . ;)

and the programs lauchers:

PopSel 2.12 Pop-Up Menu to launch Programs Download (35Kb)

http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/win/popsel.zip

Qsel 1.02 Program Launcher Download (43Kb)

http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/win/qsel.zip

still more goodies there. . .
