C++ Runtime Error

I often get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error,
It states :

Runtime Error!
Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate in
an unusual way.

Please contact the applications support team for more
information.

This occures when I click on certain web addresses or
during a search.

I tried all of the instructions on this site and could not
find any of the indicators noted. Ran the software anyway
and the problem persists.

It appears that I have both Java(Sun) and MS VM on the PC. After
disabling/unchecking Java(Sun) the runtime error ceased in IE6.
