C++ Runtime Error

Using IE 6.0

When entering a web address without the preceeding "www"
I get the following popup error message. For example
typing "usps.gov" vs. "www.usps.gov"

Program: C:\ProgramFiles\InternetExplorer\IEXPLORER.EXE
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's

Runtime Library Microsoft Visual C++, Runtime Error Program
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe or Iexplore.exe, abnormal program termination.

also make sure you don't have both the Sun JRE and the Microsoft VM JIT
compiler enabled.
