Hot Gal

Hi

My server has a 40gb hardware raid configured. the drive is paritioned into
2 drives. C and D. C is used to store system files etc. and D is used to
stored users files etc. My C drive is near full capacity however I have
plenty of space on my D drive. What can I do to add more space to my C
drive.

Thanks

PM v7 gave problems with my hardware raid, using clean hd's/clean install
instead used Win2K disk to partition

You need to get the server version. It used to be sold under
the same name - perhaps it now has a name of its own.

That cannot resize partitions. It can only make a new one or delete an existing one.

The Partition magic Server edition is only for NT4. It will likely work with Windows 2000 Server since the NTFS upgrade from NT4 (SP3+) to Windows 2000 is minor. But no with Windows XP and Windows 2003. Those are major upgrades to NTFS which kills Partion Magic 7 and below. But then there is no server version for anything above Windows 2000. Not even XP. So the question is if Version 5 works (and it does) why go to Volume Manager?

I just discovered that Acronis Partition Expert can do this with ease. It
will handle the WindowsXP/2003 flavour of NTFS, and it does not care if
you're dealing with a workstation or a server. They charge US$50.00, which
is very competitive when compared to the server version of PartitionMagic.
