Hi,
Thanks in advance for your help in advance. I have a Win2K server less than
a year old. It has one gig of ram. I made the C drive 4 gig in size. Now
free space is 328 mb. All applications/data are installed on Drive E. Any
idea of wear space went? How to get back.
Thanks
Dexter

Reduce you IE cache to no more than 10MB. Use compression on IE cache as well.
If you don't plan on uninstalling HotFixes, delete the directories in c:\winnt that are
named...
$NtUninstallKBxxxxxx$
If you have a c:\i386 directory, move it to e:\i386
Search for *.TMP files and delete them.

The above is a good starting point.

Um, if he moves the i386 for to e:, he'll need to tell Windows where
it is every time that he installs something from the "CD", won't he?

Cheers,

Cliff

Yes, that's true. But all it takes is a simple Registry edit to re-point to the
location of the source files.

Maybe, but it is easily changed in the Registry to point to - e:\i386
