Bypassing Windows XP Logon?

W

Walt

Hi-

If you are familiar with Microsoft.NET framework version 1.1, I would like
to know how I can bypass the Windows XP Logon Screen for quick access to my
desktop. I noticed a difference with Microsoft.Net framework version 1.0.

Thanks in advance for any help you can send.

Visit the Windows Update web site and download the available critical update
for .NET Framework. After installing it and rebooting, the Welcome Screen
will no longer appear if you do not have a password for your account.

Install TweakUI:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

TweakUI > Logon. Untick the account "ASP.NET" (or similar). If this
doesn't help: "How to turn on automatic logon in Windows XP"
