Buy CD for MMC 8.X

I have an AIW8500DV. Currently I use ATI MMC 7.7 and Catalyst 3.1 driver.
Reading a lot of posts regarding MMC 8.X and newer Catalyst drivers makes me
want to try the newer versions. I went to ATI web site and find they have
many CD softwares for sale. Which one should I buy, Radeon all install,
Radeon 7xxx/8xxx or Radeon 9600/9800? Which one has MMC 8.X and is
compatible with AIW 8500DV? Thanks.

Looks like the ALL RADEON INSTALL+MMC 8.1+DVD CD to me, Arthur. Don't worry
about the card specific ones; AFAIK the drivers installed are all universal
to Radeon cards.

Incidentally, you don't need the CD for MMC 8.x, only to validate and
install the 8.x DVD player - if you don't want that, don't bother with the
CD, just download what you want and install it. In fact, even if you do
want the DVD player, download and install what you want anyway and just use
the CD for validation: the software on it is several versions old (Catalyst
3.2 and MMC 8.1 IIRC). Current versions available for download are Catalyst
3.9 and MMC 8.7.

Just get the latest Radeon one. Usually the CD's are a few months behind
the latest catalyst release, depending on how long ago the newest
graphics card product was launched.
