Burning temp disc

I can't change my temp disc for data recording. No matter which partition I
choose under "Recording" tab, when adding files to burn, my System C: is
filling up, and I can't burn more than my free space on C: (which is only 2,5
GB).
Windows Burn Temp Files folder on my D: is only used to store some 0 bytes
files at the time of burning...

I thought I had this one licked. So I tried my fix: edit the registry to
change the setting under
HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/SpecialFolders.
Well, I tried it and it didn't change a thing. Then I remembered, you have
to reboot or at least log off and log back on for special folders to change.
So I rebooted and still no change. Vista just keeps on using the same
original default folder for holding files waiting to be burned to CD, totally
ignoring the registry setting for the CDBurn special folder.

Very strange indeed.
