Burning CDs questions

I want to write several files to the same CD every day, and be
able to read the CD on XP and 98SE. Either CR-R or RW ok. I've
tried to do this both directly with XP and with Nero 5.5 but if I
get the CD to read on 98 I have to finish it in Nero, then I
can't refresh the files.

Anyone know if this is possible?

If not, anyone know of a good tutorial that will help me?

TIA

that's true, you have to finalize it to read it w/ explorer. Nero itself
can read the un-finalized CD tho, and it _MAY_ permit you to copy the file
from the CD to the hard disk using drag-and-drop from the cd pane to the
file browser pane. try it.

what you want to use is InCD, Nero's "packet writting" software. It is a
seperate install off the Nero CD. {FWIW, The EZ-CD Creator equivilant is
called DirectCD}.

Be sure you have the latest update installed on the XP machine, there was
an update that made it work ok on XP. go here for the 5.5.1056 update:

I _THINK_ (but not 100% sure) you should be able to move the disks between
the two systems w/o problem, as long as each system has the same exact
version of the InCD sw installed.
