burning cd batches

I understand that in XP you can burn tracks (ie songs) onto a cd and
then add more later. However, when I burn one song onto a cd and then
try to add to it, I get the message that the disk is full which it cant
be as it only has one 4 minute song on it.

Any ideas here?

After you burn ONE song to the CD-R it should have asked you if you wanted to finalize the disk. If you states YES, the disk is considered FULL and no more can be added. Leaving the disk NOT finalized, you can add musics to later.
Using CD-RWs you can add, delete, format just like a harddrive but cannot be used by a player for MP3/music, except by your PC. A CD-R that is NOT finalized CANNOT be played until it is finalized.

Ok, but I do not recall being asked to finalize the disk. Is there a
way to activate/disactivate this ? I am guessing that it is not
asking me and I need to turn that funtion on or stop some sort of
"auto finalizing."
