Burning batches on cds

Dave

I was under the impression that I could burn lets say 7 songs onto a
CD-R and then later add one (or more). However, when I attempt to do
this, it tells me that the cd is full. I have tried burning only one
4 minute song and then another after but still get this message. What
is the problem here and how do I get around it?

Thanks
Dave

Audio sessions, using XP's built-in burner, are a one-time event; the
session is closed. DATA can be appended, but it's not the most efficient
disk space usage. For limitations and capabilities of the burner, see...

If you are doing this to make an Audio CD, then no, it is not possible
to add more. The trouble is that adding items to a CD creates a 'Multi
session' disk, and a domestic/Car CD Player does not understand these.
So you have to do it in one. In WMP make a playlist of duration to fit
on a CD and then write to CD in one go
