I am using bullets from the current theme, and everything shows up fine when I preview in browser. When I publish to the server, the bullets show up as little boxes that say "bullet" with a red x next to it. I assume this means the graphic for the bullet is not being published out to the server. How can I correct this

If you did not publish w/ FP in http mode you need to upload the _hidden _themes and _derived folders

Those files will be created when you use features that require them.
There is no html publishing mode. Just use PUBLISH and as long as your server has FP extensions installed FP will take care of what is needed.

and remember...don't use FTP.

hth.

| Thanks for your help.
|
| In web settings, under the advanced tab, I have checked off "show hidden files and floders". I see the "themes" folder, but I do not see anything pertaining to "hidden" or "derived folders". Where would I find these files?
|
| Also how would I publish in html mode in FP? I changed the view on each page in FP to html, and published again, but still the bullets do not display. I am a novice, so there may be something I am not understanding.

If that is the case, why aren't the bullet points displaying? I have published the website to the server using a standard theme from FP, and I used bullet points from the designated theme. Everything displays perfectly except the bullets. It looks like the bullet graphic is not being uploaded during publishing. ???

In FP are you using File Publish Web and entering http://www.yoursitename.com/ ?
- if so provide the URL of your site online
Or are you using FTP or publishing w/ ftp as in ftp://www.yoursitename.com/

You problem is your server is case sensitive
The bullet is not found at:
http://www.biztek.biz/_themes/mdshapes/Mshbul1a.gif
But is found at:
http://www.biztek.biz/_themes/mdshapes/mshbul1a.gif

Get the Jimco Case Changer addin for your site (to convert all files to lower case) and then republish
See http://www.jimcoaddins.com/

|
| My site is www.biztek.biz. It is the "Services" page and the "Flexible Support Plans" page that are affected.

I downloaded the case changer, ran it, and republished. The bullet points are now displayed, but the other theme components (link bar and lines) are not displaying. ???

Appears you are trying to use the Blocks theme for the navigation, and the mdshapes theme for your pages (That requires a host w/
the FP 2002 SE)
Suggest you modify one theme and use it for all needs (and run a Tools Recalculate hyperlinks when done (sometime you need to remove
the theme and reapply it to get you pages clean)

You also need to check your local file names
- some are coming thru as
http://www.biztek.biz/_themes/mdshapes/"mshhorsa.gif"
and remove all spaces from all file names like: service request.htm
