Bullet lists won't autoformat when I tab

I read about the solutions for Word 2003 and earlier, but I'm having a
similar problem with 2007- I don't know what to do! I can start a bulleted
list, but when I tab, it doesn't automatically tab over with the next bullet
point- it just tabs over and leave the original bulletpoint there. I can use
the "increase" and "decrease" indent button, but it's such a hassle! In
addition, when I try to delete a bullet point (like to start a new subject)
the delete key automatically brings the line I'm trying to flush with the
margin back to the line above it! Please help!!

Click the Office button, and then click Word Options. In the Proofing
category, click AutoCorrect Options; this displays the AutoCorrect dialog
box. You'll find the "Set left and first indent with tabs and backspaces" on
the AutoFormat As You Type tab, as in older versions of Word.
