Buffer overrun detected

Every time i try to go into internet explorer, i get a
message that says a buffer overrun has been detected, and
the program closes. can anyone help me as to what to do
about this? (in layman's terms, please. lol)

There have been several critical patches issued within
the last few months that had to do with buffer overruns.
In fact, there was a very recent cumulative patch issued
for Internet Explorer (Q824145). Have you installed all
the patches? If not, maybe doing so would solve your
problem.
