BT Yahoo Outlook Express

Using BT Basic Broadband and automatically connected to BT Yahoo Outlook
Express.

I wish to be connected to an alternative Outlook Express using my present
".btinternet.com" address as I dislike BT version.

Please advise how this can be done, and advise recommended servers.

Thanks

Martin

It seems ridiculous but have searched all threads for 31 Oct on my computor
and have not found my original message or replies. This is why I repeated my
question since it appeared to me that it had not been posted.

As I have been unable to access original question please repeat answers.
I am still at a loss why I cannot find tthe original question and replies.
I know I may be a bit foolish but this seems unaxplainable.

Apologies

The answer is to use a proper newsreader instead of the horrible web
interface.

Thanks for details on reconfiguring Outlook Express to use proper Newsreader.
My problkem is that to get any Internet connection the only thing I could do
was to use BT guidance which has ended up with my being automatically
routed to BTA Mail Yahoo version on which toolbar does not include "accounts".

My main aim is to get away from BT Yahoo for my e-mails retaining my
present ".btinternet.com" e-mail address. Any further suggestions welcome.

The answer is to manually set up the connection - BT Yahoo should be able to
supply you with your connection details. Then UNINSTALL any of the BT Yahoo
software that came on their CD and set up your connection manually. that's
what I invariably do - I don't let any ISP software near my machine. Then,
you can remove the branding in OE as per the responses to your other post.
