I've got this BSOD while running Windows Media Player.

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBFD7EF07, 0xB7C4A98F, 0x00000000)
ativvaxx.dll - Address BFD7eF07 base at BFD0B000, Datestamp 41103a99

please help. thanks.

Have you altered anything on your pc before this happened.
Removed a programme or bit of software?

Easy one ... your problem is the ATI driver ... ativvaxx.dll is an MS Radeon Video Acceleration Universal Driver, although this stop error can also be associated with bad ram.

Check you have the latest ATI driver and run a memory test.

thanks, but mine is a Radeon 9200 SE... i don't think i can find any supporting driver for it.

sent a request to ati's customer's care.... now waiting to see what they have got to say.
