Browsing My network places

I have a domain were at work. All of the workstations are running Win2K the
Domain Controller is running Win 2003 Svr Std.

When use "my network places" to browse into "microsoft windows network" and
then to my domain, I see most of our workstations listed. I can't figure
out what is different between the ones that show up and the ones that don't.

The LAN connection properties for all workstations only include the "Client
for Microsoft Networks" and TCP/IP (DHCP)

Where should I look for differences?

Thanks,

Steve

Remember that this is based on the list maintained by the NetBios master
browser. This does not cross VLANs or network segments and there is no real
way for this to maintain an accurate list as this is done by network
broadcasts.

Also, machines that do not have file and print sharing turned on will never
show up. This is not a reliable way to keep a directory. This is why DNS
and AD exist.
