Browser won't open, and prompts for restart

Hello, if possible, please help me resolve an issue that
happens when I attempt to start IE 6.0. Most of time the
browser won't open and it prompts me to send data to MS
and restart. Listed below is data I copied from the WIN
2000 PRO event viewer. Any help would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks, Marc.

This fix may also work for ie6.

IEXPLORE Caused an Invalid Page Fault in SHELL32.DLL
There was an internal error and one of the windows you were using will be
closed.

Check also for parasites.
IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and Spybot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
