Browser windows sizing

My Browser windows suddenly started opening small windows, rather that the
full or maximized ones which I've had for years. Is there a setting
somewhere that I can change all sizes?

I usually just stretch it how I like then press CTRL+N a few times to
open several windows then close them either with the upper right X or
CTRL+F4 Then its fine for a few months until some gol-dang website pops
an oddball sized non-resizable window and only loads content into it.
