Browser Shuts Down

I have Windows XP and IE 6.0 with 128 bit encryption.
Whenever I go into my banks Internet banking site and try
to do a transfer, my browser shuts down. It only happens
when I click the button to send my transfer.

Inspect the event logs. Click Start, Run and type "eventvwr.msc"
In the application logs, see if there are anything related to Internet Explorer [note down the date/time of the error occurred and match it with Applications log]
